Hello,

You have been redistricted. You are the last republican in Austin.

Janet Malzahn for Congress Republican Candidate for Texas Congressional District 37

Meet Janet Malzahn

Janet Malzahn is a Texas attorney, constitutional law scholar, and federal management consultant with more than 30 years of experience defending the rule of law and strengthening public institutions.

A graduate of the University of Texas School of Law, Janet is licensed to practice in Texas and has served as Assistant City Attorney in Dallas. She is a former professor of constitutional law and ethics, where she taught future leaders the importance of accountability, individual rights, and principled governance.

For over two decades, Janet worked as a federal consultant implementing legislation with state governments in all 50 states. Her work has helped bring agencies into compliance with federal mandates, modernize outdated systems, and protect vulnerable populations. Most recently, Janet advised on legislation to close loopholes that enabled the trafficking of unaccompanied minors at the border — ensuring the law protects children, not bureaucratic failures.

In 2024, Janet became a whistleblower after exposing fraud within SBA COVID relief programs, demonstrating her commitment to integrity even when it comes at personal cost. She also served as a national delegate in the last election cycle, working with local churches to strengthen lawful voter registration and civic participation.

Janet is the author of the forthcoming book Constitutive: The Definition of American, which examines how constitutional principles — including property rights, the rule of law, and freedom of conscience — are essential to preserving a free and ethical society. She believes Austin should lead the nation in ethical innovation, including the responsible use of artificial intelligence, without sacrificing constitutional values.

Janet is running for Congress to end decades of entrenched political control, restore ethical leadership, and ensure Austin’s future is built on law, accountability, and opportunity for all.
